Sunday 11 October · 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Use AI on a real task.

School, a job, or a business. Same five lines. Your own task.

What did you last use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok for?

You already use it. Today you learn how to ask, and how to check one fact.

It writes the next likely words. It can sound sure and still be wrong. Your job is the question and the check.

Slides 1–4 · say this
  • Slide 1. Welcome them. Same five lines for everyone. School, a job, or a business. Their own task, on their own device.
  • Slide 2. Ask the question and wait. Take a few answers. School, chat, or work is enough.
  • Slide 3. You already use it. Today is not a lesson on what a chatbot is. Today is how to ask, and how to check one fact.
  • Slide 4. It writes the next likely words. It does not know your book, your boss, or today’s price. It can sound sure and still be wrong.

Prompt engineering · LUMS

The five lines

Role comes first. “I am 14.” or “You are a tutor.”

  1. 1.Say who it is for.Audience
  2. 2.Say what you want.Context
  3. 3.Say how long it should be.Length
  4. 4.Ask for two options.Format
  5. 5.Check one fact yourself.Yours
Slide 5 · say this
  • Point at Role first. The first words are who you are, or who the tool should be.
  • Then walk 1 to 4 and say the red word: Audience, Context, Length, Format. Format means bullets, a paragraph, or two options.
  • Line 5 is after the prompt. You still check one fact yourself.

Demo

Same five lines. Three tasks.

Studies

WeakExplain photosynthesis.
BetterI am 14. Explain photosynthesis in 5 lines for a class test. Then give me 5 short questions. Mark which fact I should check in my book.

Organization

WeakWrite an email to my manager.
BetterI need a 6-line email asking my manager for a decision on [topic]. Give two subject lines. Do not invent numbers.

Business

WeakWrite an ad for my business.
BetterWrite a WhatsApp message under 60 words for [what I sell], for [who buys it]. Give two versions: a new person, and someone who already knows me. Do not invent a price.
Slides 6–8 · say this
  • Read the weak line, then the better line, for studies, for a job, and for a business.
  • On the studies pair, point at “I am 14” as Role, the class test as Audience and Context, and 5 lines as Length.
  • Live-type one better line only. Read the first few lines of the answer, then move on.

Practice — fill this and send it

  1. I am [age or role].
  2. I need [notes / a quiz / a message / a draft] about [your real topic].
  3. The reader is [who].
  4. Length: [5 lines, or 60 words, or 6 lines].
  5. Give me two versions.
  6. Do not invent facts, prices, or numbers.

Then send: Make the first version shorter. Tell me one thing I should check myself.

Slides 9–10 · say this
  • Copy the blank. Fill it with the task that is real for you this week. Send it.
  • Then send: Make the first version shorter. Tell me one thing I should check myself.
  • Walk the room. Help anyone who is still logging in.

Make one piece

Pick the task that is real for you this week.

Studies

5 lines of notes on one subject you study.

5 short questions.

Mark one fact you will check in your book or notes.

Organization

A draft you could use this week: an email, a short summary, or a short plan.

Two subject lines, or two openings.

Write this yourself: I will still decide ___.

Do not put a colleague’s or customer’s private details in the prompt.

Business

A WhatsApp message or caption under 60 words for something you sell or want to offer.

Two versions: a new person, and someone who already knows you.

Write this yourself: I will still decide ___.

Do not let it invent a price.

Slides 14–17 · say this
  • Pick the brief that matches the task you will actually use this week. Done means every line of that brief is finished on your device.
  • Studies: notes, five questions, one fact to check in the book. Organization: a draft, two openings, and “I will still decide.” Business: a message under 60 words, two versions, no invented price.
  • If someone asks how to earn from this: it can speed up a task you already do. It does not make money while you sleep. You still decide the price and whether to send.

Agentic AI

A chat stops. An agent continues.

Same five lines. The work continues through the steps, and you still check the fact.

Example · Mission Control

One task. A small team.

  1. 1. You assign the task, with role, audience, context, and length.
  2. 2. The orchestrator routes it.
  3. 3. One agent researches. One agent drafts.
  4. 4. You check one fact, then you decide what ships.
Slides 11–12 · say this
  • A chat stops after one reply. An agent keeps working the task. The five lines are still how you start.
  • In Mission Control you assign the task. The orchestrator routes it. One agent researches. One agent drafts.
  • You still check one fact, and you decide what ships. About two minutes. Do not tour the product.

From real work

Guest

  1. 1. What is one task you used AI for this week?
  2. 2. What did you still do yourself?
  3. 3. What did it get wrong?
Slide 13 · say this, twice
  • You ask. They answer from one real task this week. About 12 minutes, then two questions from the room.
  • 5:30, Mujtaba, software developer. Ask what he still checked himself.
  • 6:50, Hassan, product manager. Ask which decision he still made himself.

When you show it

  1. 1. What I asked.
  2. 2. What I kept.
  3. 3. What I will check.
Slide 18 · say this
  • One minute each. What I asked. What I kept. What I will check.
  • Start with one school task, then one job or business task. Then anyone else who wants a turn.

Before you leave

I can now ___.

Keep thisDo not type a full name, school, phone number, address, or a customer’s private details. Do not paste someone else’s private chat. A sure-sounding answer can still be wrong. Do not upload a classmate’s photo.
Slide 19 · say this
  • Each person finishes the line: I can now.
  • Then read the safety lines once. Stop at 8:00. Do not open a new topic.

Open this page on your phone if you want the briefs in front of you. TurboAnchor · in the room only.
